Using RBL with Exchange
This is an example of how to configure zen.spamhaus.org on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
- Open Exchange System Manager.
- Expand Global Settings.
- Right click on Message Delivery and select Properties.
- Go to the Connection Filtering tab.
- Click the Add button.
- In the Display Name box type zen.spamhaus.org and click the OK button.
- In the DNS Suffix of Provider box type zen.spamhaus.org and click the OK button.
- Click the OK button on the Connection Filtering Rule dialog.
- Click the OK button on the Message Delivery Properties dialog.
- A message box will be displayed. Click the OK button.
- Expand the Servers folder.
- Expand your server.
- Expand the Protocols folder.
- Expand the SMTP folder.
- Right click on Default SMTP Server and select Properties.
- Click on the Advanced button.
- Click on the Edit button for address listed.
- Check the Apply Connection Filter selection.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button.
- Right click on the Default SMTP Server service and select Stop.
- Right click on the Default SMTP Server service and select Start.
Your Exchange server is now using the zen.spamhaus.org RBL block list.
