Using RBL with Exchange

This is an example of how to configure zen.spamhaus.org on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.

1. Open Exchange System Manager.
2. Expand Global Settings.
3. Right click on Message Delivery and select Properties.
4. Go to the Connection Filtering tab.
5. Click the Add button.
6. In the Display Name box type zen.spamhaus.org and click the OK button.
7. In the DNS Suffix of Provider box type zen.spamhaus.org and click the OK button.
8. Click the OK button on the Connection Filtering Rule dialog.
9. Click the OK button on the Message Delivery Properties dialog.
10. A message box will be displayed. Click the OK button.
11. Expand the Servers folder.
12. Expand your server.
13. Expand the Protocols folder.
14. Expand the SMTP folder.
15. Right click on Default SMTP Server and select Properties.
16. Click on the Advanced button.
17. Click on the Edit button for address listed.
18. Check the Apply Connection Filter selection.
19. Click the OK button.
20. Click the OK button.
21. Click the OK button.
22. Right click on the Default SMTP Server service and select Stop.
23. Right click on the Default SMTP Server service and select Start.

Your Exchange server is now using the zen.spamhaus.org RBL block list.
